Short walking distance to Glastonbury Center (30 seconds away).

I found several residential lot around $4,000 - 6,000 with 8,000-9,000 sqft around Lake Livingston, TX , walk-in distance to community boat ramp.Is that that cheap?

What makes it such a great deal is the commuting to NYC and the American Dream mall is nearby but like how Mark said before the schools could use some work.

There’s a BP book on long distance investing and it’s been discussed in the forums a lot, too.I’m sure some folks would argue it’s not “long distance” in the sense of halfway across the country, but I think it’s a non-trivial distance and is certainly a lot closer to long distance than local so I think it’s worth looking at long distance investing resources for ideas and help, too.

There is a substantial overhead burden that you have to carry long distance - literally every step in the process is harder and costs more money.
