I recently watched a video on the Bigger Pockets YouTube channel that discussed the career as a side job and have become highly interested.

The video I saw rates a 2x6 Tstud vertical load at 8600 lb. vs 2200 lb. for a traditional 2x6 or 900 lb. for a traditional 2x4.

If you are out of state, you'll have to rely on someone to take lots of pictures and videos for you.

Buy a decent pair of needle nose pliers and watch a few videos first.
