LG makes a good sized narrow washer, and someone else has a narrow dryer.For example, once when I put a new dishwasher in another kitchen, the Maytag guy insisted on a wall between the dishwasher and the stove it was next to.

I would contact an HVAC installer in your area and have them give you a rough idea as to the coverage area. 1000ft.² you should be able to get two wall-mounted units that would work off one exterior compressor.
