A bit of backstory: we had a small-ish earthquake here in SLC back in 2020.  ...a few months before that earthquake, a family in my neighborhood bought a STUNNING late 1800s brick home.

Hello everyone,Lately I have been interested in purchasing foreclosure homes because the MLS is so competitive.

I guess my question is, has anyone had any success lately using their VA Home Loan to acquire their owner occupied multi-fam?   

You may get several contractors that will not return your call, or answer you but never show up, or show up late.

This has not been an issue in the past but seems like anything that matches my criteria since late January gets multiple offers way over asking within the first day.

I learned equally as much being a first time landlord as I did reading and listening.Don’t feel rushed, 33 certainly isn’t too late to get into REI.

You/bank/owner/architect take your time getting all approvals and start construction 10-18 months late. 

The tenant had been paying rent late ever since then and we had to keep filing for a 3 day notice.
