For me I just keep it handy if someone makes a claim you give it up if they never will  ( which is 99% what will happen) you just keep it.Now keep in mind don't follow my advice I am just saying how i handle it as i tend to be self insured for these types of situations and understand the reality of fighting over very small dollars.
