@Nur Al Sharif Rental income is not subject to social security tax.

Seeing that the property has been on for six months without any offers tells me two telling facts - the property is not priced accurately and that it is also not marketed well enough to get the right buyers in (this includes door knocking neighbors, social media ads, and campaigns around the community).

@Todd Powell I think your best defense is what Steve does as well as heavy due diligence in the form of social media and speaking with prior landlords. 

It sure is hard to live by all these stupid rules but I think that whatever you choose to do, it will be alright as long as you don't post it on social media.
