I believe that REI will allow me to end that frivolous cycle and achieve the financial freedom we can only dream.

This will allow me the FREEDOM to do what I really want to do in life-travel.

Hello my name is Ricardo GonzalezI’m from San Antonio,Texas and i just recently became a Real Estate Investor.I attended the GURO seminar’s which were extremely helpful and then came to find bigger pockets and found out there’s no need to pay for 25,000 for becoming an Investor.well i should mentioned the way i came across real estate.It was due to my father’s passing he left me his home,which is my childhood home,in order to validate the WILL we hired a real estate lawyer to probate my father’s WILL.There were many other thing’s that happened in between.We then got a light bulb and realized my father left us a gold mine,we just need the right tool’s.Were now on the way for a equity loan on our existing home and using it for our very first SFR/Commercial purchase.Again with the seminar’s and daily podcast of BP we put all the knowledge together.so here i’am a new member to bigger pockets,looking on the forums. and let me tell you it feel’s great to have such an great opportunity for a legacy,job freedom,create cash flow,new friends,create wealth,I’m so looking forward to being a landlord and all that come’s with that.

I really want to start in my real estate investor journal to reach my financial freedom and move another state but before that, I have to resolve a couple issues I have with my actual situation.I have a couple questions if someone can advise me1.

I love the freedom of not having to maintain my current place, I can move anytime I want, and I'm not paying an absurd mortgage for a SoCal house.

So while an IRA does offer you more freedom with investment choices, if you ever want to contribute more than $5.5k you'll need to go back to the Roth 401k.

The ultimate goal is to achieve financial freedom through cash flow income. 

What pushed me to get my license was the savings in commission, as well as MLS access and the freedom to preview homes. 

My family and financial freedom are what motivates me, I've proven to myself that I am strong enough to achieve the goals that I've already have set for myself, and I see now that real estate investing is defiantly something that I want for myself now.

I started at the biggest broker in California 10 years ago and learned so much of what i needed to do so was glad it didI now work at a smaller (16 actives) Brokerage where I get more freedom to specialize in investing, and service investors which is my strength and a smaller Broker will usually give more perks in marketing, leads, and guidance in tough deals and have more appreciation and better commissions.Summary:Start with the majorslearn what you like and define your specialtiesMove to a smaller broker when you are seasoned.
