That means if the tile is 24 inches long, the end piece of the tile on the next row must not go over 8" (and 6" would be better) from the end of the piece in the current row.

I like that so many of you have some kind of experience with this and you all pretty much come to the same conclusion.The one owner selling a cart is moving into a 7 day work week and while they have 3 employees, I know that as an owner you need to keep your ears to the ground when someone else is running your business.

As far as estimate goes, for smaller job, I know small (most likely single operator) specialized contractors usually just do it either on a piece of paper, or carbon-copy setup - all hand written.
