If you buy a policy that does not meet underwriting guidelines and have a claim, the insurance company will deny the claim. 

I tried telling my agent that but she denied it and kept insisting that it was a one time thing only.

We do our best to ask a lot of questions up front, and we do deny people if they ask weird questions.  

It would be bad news to have a claim denied because you bought the wrong kind of policy.I figure about 8% for sales closing costs, assuming you're using a realtor and paying them the typical 6%.
