I stopped considering this as an option until today when an idea came into my head.

Anyone who believes that Austin is headed for a major correction or sustained lower prices in the foreseeable future needs a compelling and realistic case for how the Austin metro goes from 0.6 months of inventory to well beyond 6.5 months.I think the most likely scenario is that the Austin market stabilizes and proceeds in a more orderly and predictable fashion at this new pricing level.

There's an actual real estate college degree; and within the MBA program there's a real estate concentration.Subjects that could certainly fuel an investor's rise to empire besides just accounting and business could be architecture (evaluating structures), psychology (negotiation), economics (noticing trends in a market), statistics (various areas of investing), and there are probably more that aren't popping into my head at the moment.

Today, Interest rates are low, and probably will be heading up along with the price of everything. 

I'm headed to a real estate investing luncheon later today.

They say only about 20% of mortgages are from the private sector but I am projecting this number to rise substantially in the next 5 years.
