I was reading up on the tax implication if one becomes a non resident.

Apologies if this has been already asked.my dad wants to 1031 an existing rental and rent out the replacement property to me and my family.The replacement property would likely be around ~$300K more than the relinquished property, and ideally, we would borrow that.But my dad is long retired and his income currently consists of rental income and social security.

I have only just discovered this website and it has been amazing , I truly spend more time on this than any other social media platform.

Flipping that you mentioned is an excellent way to lose a lot of money if this is your first flip, especially in today's environment.So, before considering whether you qualify, tax implications and all other factors, decide what are those opportunities that you will be pursuing after taking the money out.

Now, after courts being closed for so long, and perhaps considering social distancing guidelines after they open, it might go for months more.

It's a great article, but that's a drop in the bucket compared to the mass atroturfing campaign against landlords that's now being pumped on a regular basis across social media, Reddit, YouTube and every mainstream fauxgressive rag and media outlet around the country and the globe.

So I was thinking about applying that same mentality to this situation, and find creative means to press-forward when so many of my competitors are likely stopping or halting, due to the pandemic.From a safety perspective, to emphasize social distancing, I was going to propose that either the current owners do a video walkthrough via a live video call with us, or that they let us get the keys to allow us to do the walkthrough alone. 

We have also spent $ on social media platforms.
