Their reasoning is the same as a bank... they want to see that you have skin in the game.

It sounds on the surface that you should suck it up and finish the lease with them and follow all the laws to end the lease when it terms out. 

I believe being an agent full time at first will give me some skin in the game initially and help to meet the players.

I still have that job, as all cash is currently reinvested, but those visions I had at the start are beginning to poke their heads above the surface. 

You will get allot of naysayers but it helps thicken the skin and worth it if you find one good person.The advise that @Eric Gardiner and @Jody Schnurrenberger give about working in the industry is excellent.

@Dustin DeSmith, (disclosure) i don't own any MHP, but on the surface this looks like a viable investment.It's a smaller park, so it would not be as liquid, as many investors are looking for larger parks.You might have a hard time finding a bank to finance a deal of such size.

The license means you have some 'skin in the game' and something on the line ..your license.
