Even though my instincts want to buy I think it may be detrimental to my growth compared to learning to fix up a property to rent.I feel as though it takes more skill to fix up a property to rent but is worth it in the long hall. 

@Roberto Lara the issue with these type of questions is there is an assumption that there is only one answer, when in reality 'commercial' is a designation that the organization defining it can decide how it is applied.

Rehab estimates, rental comps, market analysis are all learned skills.

One thing, without competition everything will be stagnant because competition compels an individual, organization and so on to find better method of doing things.ThanksMatthew.

I hope to find people in my area with similar goals to partner with - I see a lot of competition but I still think the Jacksonville area is ripe with opportunity for organized, trustworthy companies.
