From what I can read in the tax code it seems possible with the homestead exemption here:This annual exemption is available for “residential property that is occupied by its owner or owners as his or their principal dwelling place, or that is a leasehold interest on which a single family residence is situated, which is occupied as a residence by a person who has an ownership interest therein, legal or equitable or as a lessee, and on which the person is liable for the payment of property taxes

All bets are off in a house that has a lot of asymmetrical rooms, extra corners, or a lot of ceiling height changes.

While looking at multiplexes in my area I am seeing some that say 10 plea but shows it is 2 kitchen with 10 r...

All of my units are single people or young families with 1 young kid, and for the most part, none of them go over the minimum charge per month.

I currently own a single family home in that area that I used to live in and now rent out because I currently live overseas.

The management company will pay me a fixed rent every single month, and then will sub-let to tenants with a markup.

Personally I won't buy a Single family with under $250/month cash flow
