I moved up here to get a bunch of land to house hack and the trailers are in livable condition. 

I'm a newbie trying to rent out rooms in my 4-bedroom, 3-bathroom house in Seattle.

I "flipped" the house I used to live in (and rent rooms out of), and currently run an Airbnb in my second house. 

I have a vacant lot that I can build a 1200 SqFt house on.

Order something from every bar, order something from every restaurant, make the waitresses work for you, tour the place- the restrooms- the kitchens- the back of the house and walk the entire outside of the building. 

Looking at the homes on the market, prices vary wildly from $~200-$400+/sqft and it doesn't seem to correspond to just the quality of the house.

My local housing authority put in some vague language to the payment standards for the landlord.

I recently purchased a primary home in LA County Sept 2023 (only put 5% to do renovations and have an interest rate of 7.25%; I rent out back unit when we are out of town and intend to rent out main house eventually).

Those assigned to oversee properties must reside in one of the local counties approved by the Cleveland City Council and will be liable for addressing housing code violations in the properties.

If the bank owns the house it's not in foreclosure anymore.
