My low-income tenants do not like gas and would rather have electric baseboard heating (actually they'd rather have central but that ain't -happening).I have one old and large 3 bed with high ceilings where I added electric baseboard heaters but also left a couple very nice gas space heaters just in case.

Well, we already have an estate tax levied upon someone's death, so it seems that it could be within reason for the govt to levy a 'one-time' wealth tax to bring about a deleveraging of U.S. govt debt.

If you're really interested in knowing what your property is worth, and you believe, after comparing nearby properties with similar specific amenities (beyond just sq ft and proximity), then learn more about the person who sold it to you.If investigation show they had some crazy circumstance (massive ignorance, pressing need to sell immediately, spouse's death, pending foreclosure...) then maybe your property is worth a lot more than you paid for it.

I am against social programs as much as the next guy, but I am more against kids going to bed on an empty stomach.If we had to have the government have social programs, feeding kids directly (instead of shelling out money thats spent on cigs), is the best way to do it.A better way would be for all of us to step up and help feed the hungry in this country.
