Just go to a different lender, appraisals are subjective and I have literally never heard of an appraiser commenting on the specifics of a heating source outside of just mentioning what it was. 

I think most of the comments before me seem like good advise on the real estate side.

If they don't want to lower it, you can back out.If you disagree, feel free to comment.

The owners are ok with that so please keep the moral police comments to a minimum.
