Have to watch out on 5 year loans as mid-process to fund the loan some lenders will stress test the property as part of an appraisal and then require a larger down payment.

I've tested this by calling at different intervals to mention to them that I'm concerned about how certain properties are showing up (or not showing up) on the search map in our area, and to inquire about booking dropoffs (at strategic times).

You certainly have time to experiment and test out the waters with real estate.

Although I have had an investment since 2013,  I haven't been tested. 

So they has a test to ensure the foundation cement was strong enough to rebuild on and salvaged the best of the partial walls. 

I probably chose about a dozen addresses total as I wanted to test the validity of the search. 

Lenders will usually stress test the property because debt is short term.There are tons of layers to underwriting a deal like that.

So, just to test the waters, we listed our home and we had A LOT of interest at $250k.

I am thinking that I will just attend the first one, and get a feel for the process and kind of test the waters before I make a purchase, but don't want to miss any opportunities that may arrise. 

You've got GP/LP shares, splits, waterfalls, prefs, and then multiple stress tests to be done.
