The issue is that you are weighing the cost of the potential lawsuit versus the guaranteed additional costs and administrative requirements of protection.

With credits from the seller they could be $3,500 but I'd rather get that as a bonus and not count it as a guarantee. 

Guaranteed if you are getting good enough returns you can use some of that money for your own personal expenses, but in order to reach a goal of 5 million I feel virtually everything would have to go straight back into your business.
