We have had to put locks on outside faucets due to opportunists pulling up in a truck or RV and filling a water tank if there is an unlocked faucet visible from the street and there appears to be no one home.

I had locked my scooter but, apparently, the thief was able to unlock it. 

I have only had to give the code to that lockbox one time and I think it’s because they locked the deadbolt, then went out a back door (which I still think had to have been unlocked) but they were at the front door unable to open it.
