At least you can budget for 3 or 4 a year. and that way they won't all need to be replaced at the same time again.. like light bulbs you buy new ones and install fresh and they all go out about the same time.Warranties, and Rebates from your power company may be something to take advantage of and price a good plumber to do several at one time.. you may be looking at additional issues with code venting and I'd get a plumber to price a install to get a cost idea, Don't buy and store new water heaters, the warranty starts the day you take it home,,

You don't know how fresh their data is, it usually comes in widely varying formats that are hard to work with, it's often incomplete data, and you can't really control the exact criteria.
