I have also dreamed of building a mobile trading office.The idea is to take a van or a SUV with three rows of seats, and remove the middle row to set up a trading environment with four 27" monitors and two slim (desktop) computers each with 8 cores or more.

I believe two types of quantitative models should be useful:(1) Factor models using linear regression;(2) Principal component analysis.I think the software is the easy part; the difficult part is to have a good data base.
