Today I'm considering getting my license to sell RE while the market is hot, or if I don't I will just get paid to wait until the market comes back down to where buy-n-hold makes sense again.

@Steve Vaughan There is no secret sauce to finding short sale clients, just get a REALTOR license and start some local advertising.

Does anyone know whether the law in Minnesota requires that all Property Managers need to have their Real Estate Agent's license in order to be a PM?

I've heard the term in the context of licensed lenders, and have heard similar terms used for rules implemented for licensed real estate brokers, but I've never seen anything that deals with unlicensed buyers or sellers.I have to imagine that thousands (tens of thousands?)

What are the requirements for a general contractors license in CA?

My biggest hurdle at the moment is business licensing.

We could not inspect my current property that I bought through them properly (with a licensed home inspector) until the contract was ratified. 

In Washington they would need to go to the department of licensing and fill out a affidavit for lost title which would function as a temporary title until the replacement comes.

I got licensed in June, 2014 and closed my first deal in 10 weeks.  

I am a licensed Realtor in the Twin Cities and I agree with both mentions above.
