Hi BiggerPockets members and staff,I am another newbie investor, just getting started in the world of real estate investing.

It may also be cheaper because you don't have to staff the front desk as you would in a traditional hotel. 

They are simply deluged with loan defaults and cannot staff up adequately.

I've lived in several places in Fremont and it seems like the property manager on staff is always gone after 3-4 months on the job to be replaced by someone completely new. 

So I have quit my job as a Lab Tech and dove head first into this real estate thing.

It's true we have 2 full time salaried staff for acquisitions and 3 for maintenance so we have infrastructure at Top Performing Properties. 

My understanding is that Rent to Retirement does not have in-house property management and has in-house staff performing the actual rehabs only in certain markets.

I don't do this when its early in the process, but before submitting an offer, I always go and personally visit comparable properties and talk to the staff there.
