Do not rely of social media or just a telephone number to confirm the identity and the client's statements.My advice is to use a US based currency exchange broker who is also obliged to check the identity and source of capital when opening an account, and co-ordinate this with them.

Thanks @Travis Murray , and you're right we do require the landlord to authenticate their identity the first time they order the Credit Check report.

Hello and thank you for your comments.Lindsay, the property price is fixed and the builder has already made some identical ones they say they will show me anytime so i can compare once the property is built. i do intend to have the property inspected and fly down to view it myself before i sign.

@Brian E Betts  nice of you to step in.. the aussie investors got hammered I wrote an e book for aussie investors which outlines what they need to watch out for .. as I was posting on the property investor forum in AU ( AU version of BP) and it was evident to me that US promoters were simply ripping these nice people off.. some of the AU investors though need to be held accountable they went for pie in the sky returns and did not calculate risk.. lots of money lost that's for sure and in more places than just your area.the buy rehab and sell sub prime owner occ is a very big thing in that area of the country and fraught with fraud and crumbled deals.

EIN identity theft is more problematic than SSN theft and is growing more quickly as there is so much more that can be done fraudulently under a company name.
