With how large Berkshire Hathaway is as an organization and the sheer number of people they employee there is almost certainly bad actors.

The reason why I go outside Fairway is to keep things confidential and not have to deal with employee/employer issues if a loan can not get sold.

If you are supplying tools and giving daily instructions to them they will be considered employees and that can come back to bite you with back taxes etc.I cant stress enough the importance of using only licensed and insured contractors.
