There were diagonal cracks throughout most of the walls in each room, and in the basement one of the exterior walls had like a 1-1 1/2 foot crack in the block starting at the floor and there was a small ammount of water running from that to the middle of the room.

The leak went through the 2nd floor tenant's floor, dripped down to the 1st floor and created water seeping along the path of least resistance (i.e. the part that separates the giant drywall pieces).

I knew it was gonna take some work, but it got real pretty quick.The kitchen floor had stick tiles, then 1/4" lauan, then 3/4" original hardwood, then a 3/4" plank subfloor.
