Besides the fact that I am not in the same country as the buyers and communication with these unknown people would be difficult, the title company representative who emailed me of the error provided completely erroneous figures for the amount owing, and now we do not know what the taxes actually were that were applicable to my time living in the house (just prior to and for nearly a year after my father´s death).

I know prices vary around the country but I'm still curious and don't want to get ripped off while completing my current project. 

Ironically, this town removed their last remaining pay phone a decade ago...The landline must be provided for 911, especially for guests that stay out of the country as their cell phones may not work on our networks.

My intention is to understand the trending areas within the country and the factors that are motivating the population increases/decreases throughout the nation.  

I have in my notes above the time on the market, they both have been on the market for close to a year.The single-family w/ triplex is in a very good area, nice neighborhood, close to marina and country club.

@Brya Freeland Great areas but 5-10 miles in Chicago is like crossing into a different country. 

You should consider short term rental.. just make it available when you are out of the country.

@Nicolas Biangel Hi Nicolas, on the blanket loans that I've financed (which are essentially cross collateralized assets on one note) each property is assigned a loan value and if an investor wants to sell/refinance a property out of the blanket, there is a typically a release cost associated with it.
