Theoretically with the combined ground/neutral panel system in the US, you would have the same risk of being shocked through the ground if you lost your neutral at the panel.Funny thing is that it stated that up until 1996 the National Electric Code didn't separate the ground and neutral on many appliances.

Unfortunately there is a growing mentality in this country (I don't know about other places) that it is ok to stick it to landlords, employers, government, insurance companies, or even other individuals, and it is often rationalized as ok because "big corporations are paying" or "that is what insurance is for" or "I need to get something for my tax dollars" or simply "I need money and it is not my problem where it ends up coming from."

Something I recommend to everyone is to take a look at their monthly expenses every so often and see what can be moved from the personal side to the business side.Remember, to make an expense a legitimate write-off you need to ask yourself if that expense passes the "reasonable and necessary for the production of income" test.Many of you who run your businesses through S Corporations (or LLCs taxed as S Corps) know all about estimated tax payments, too.

I kind of understand this method as far as having to pay yourself a reasonable salary and then be taxed only on that, but the question that I have is whether or not you have to follow all the formalities of a full blown S-Corp, or is it the same as an LLC with just a better tax advantage?
