Not the normal way that I liketo do things but the price is very low and the homeowner is givinga tremendous discount on the purchase price (I will be purchasing at about 58% of appraised value... home needs no repairs).

If you are going to be a sole prop, which I think is what you are referring to, you need to register as an RIA yourself which I suppose could be done but seems like a tremendous amount of time, money, and effort, just to skirt the intent of the law. 

The real estate market is slow and a huge crash is very close, yet the solar industry is helping homeowners tremendously right now by lowering utility costs and virtually eliminating an electric bill that is bound to rise with inflation this winter and on average rises 4% every year anyway.
