If you are serious I would recommend taking Cornell's online certificate course on Hotel REI and Asset Management.https://www.ecornell.com/certificates/hospitality-...I have taken these courses and they are demanding and rewarding.

I don't know of any account that you are speaking of outside of certificates of deposit that would be at 1+ year terms.I would continue to invest.

I've spoken to a real estate attorney about this and its a fairly cut and dry process, but the one thing holding me up is that I need to produce a death certificate on the original deed holder.

If one wants to pay for real estate education, $52K will go a long ways towards an industry certification or a college/university business degree specializing in real estate.Aside from tornados (which are very rare here on the east coast), ten acres by the Tx - Ok border sounds like a delightful -and, I'm guessing warm - place to be.There is lots to read and learn here and lots of folks with varied experiences in real estate.

As for my own education in Real Estate:I am being trained by a retiring agent in the office who has specialized in Fannie Mae, Bank owned, REO properties and I will soon be the go to agent in the office for these properties.I have my MRP certification, I've read the rich dad poor dad, I'm reading the what business at Harvard taught me/ what it didn't teach me.

They rented it for sure.It doesn't look like there are any tax certificates but I need to verify that with the tax office.For those that deal in foreclosure, I realize the lis pendes is the first step, what do I need to do to see about getting this property.
