My name is Patrick O'Sullivan, I have been a realtor in New Smyrna Beach Florida for the last year. I hit my year mark at the start of May and had 1,172,000 in sales in my first year. I'm currently on my local MLS technology committee and I have just joined my local Real Estate Investing group. I'm a veteran of the 101st airborne division and have my MRP designation to help assist fellow veterans. I also have a bachelors degree in Health and Science from Quinnipiac University.

 Some of my goals in Real Estate are to be busy enough to need an assistant, to have a series of income producing properties, and to help veterans get homes specifically.  

I came to join bigger-pockets after browsing Reddit.  Basically I went to one of those scam heavy fortunes in flipping style free seminars that tell you how smart you are and that you should spend a lot of money on a 3 day class that will teach you everything.  I was smart enough to see the scam and found a thread on reddit of someone who paid for it and their summary.  The comments lead me here and so far I like what I see.   

As for my own education in Real Estate:
I am being trained by a retiring agent in the office who has specialized in Fannie Mae, Bank owned, REO properties and I will soon be the go to agent in the office for these properties.

I have my MRP certification, I've read the rich dad poor dad, I'm reading the what business at Harvard taught me/ what it didn't teach me.  I'm reading the Zillow book and I'm on the Zillow premier agent although thats looking more like a scam as well.

I've sold vacant land, commercial land, cash homes, financed homes, and properties in horrible condition so far and one bankruptcy.
I'm proficient in Realist, three different MLS systems, the appraisal site, CMAs, Home path and Equator.

Also I run a Podcast the New Smyrna Beach Podcast.  This is my newest project. 

Anyway I'm not trying brag or advertise some of the things I have done I just wanted to give a good overview of where I'm at and where I came from with an idea of where I'm trying to go.
