I have personally found that Real-Estate backed Private Notes / Loans are the most secure way to invest your funds for any duration you so choose, at an interest rate WAY better than the banks, or bonds, with monthly "dividends" and still secured by an actual physical asset!

You should make sure you've either got the funding for a new roof, or ask the insurance company to inspect and clear the roof for coverage before choosing the insurer and policy.
