What literature or video do yal recommend on the topic of insurance for rental properties?

There are videos on youtube that can help you find hot markets in your area based on home sales within zip codes. 

I have a 24 unit property and I'd like to add video security to reduce damage caused by tenants and/or visitors to the property.

The house could burn to the ground the day after I buy it and the insurance covers twice what I paid for it and I would still own the land and mineral rights (which means something with the Barnett Shale formation and gas lease potential that exists even for the smallest parcels in Fort Worth).

A commentor to the video said, that the effort the person put in to JUST birddoging was too much and that if they went through all that trouble, then they should go ahead and simply wholesale the property to the buyer.So my question is, since I am pulling comps, getting everything about the house except the architectural blue prints to the house, am I doing too much, and is what I am doing overkill for a lousy $500 - $1,000?

Before you start to do anything, do a little research.First, what you describe is a typical format, but the insurance guy teaching you to borrow against your policy is a poor programming choice.

This Trulia economist does say what he is basing his conclusions on (price versus fundamentals such as income, income growth, household formation and rents).  

After reading and listening to some videos by jay Morrison it sounds like wholesaling can be a lucrative business, if not anything more a great hands on learning experience.
