I cannot speak for all of the HUD VASH programs (just the one connected to the VAMC I work at) but veterans in this program are closely monitored by the social workers assigned to this program.

I am generally ok with students if parents co-sign.... remember to follow fair housing guidelines as family status is protected--the kids are irrelevant when you are qualifying a prospect.

Refusing to rent to someone based on their section 8 status is no different than refusing to rent to someone based on race, religion, age etc.
