Yes but they aren't giving out the data (at least not for free)  the big players download MLS data and do their analysis that way. 

Despite spending over a month analyzing data, I couldn't draw any useful conclusions and eventually gave up on this approach.I downloaded approximately 10 years of MLS rental data and analyzed historical tenant behaviors.

It also doesn't matter what your state law says on the matter, unless it is more stringent, because the FCRA is a federal requirement so you must abide by it.I believe there is a copy of a denial letter in the file place that you cold download and use.

I don't know any R, and before I learn any, how difficult will it be to download a batch of addresses using this API?

When I was starting, i built myself an amortization calculator in excel but then I got lazy and just downloaded the 10bii app.I also found my note mentor here in BP, yours might be lurking around.
