I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this in their area and what your thoughts are.I know that investor activity is high around the country right now but it's the lack of properties coming on the market that's most disturbing for me.

I'm in the middle of Amish country in Arthur, IL.

The problem is I have not done my taxes for 2011 ( due to an illness and move across country).

One day I get a call from my realtor saying that he bought a rehab for himself and he wanted to use my contractor since he was planning on doing 1 rehab then moving out of the country with his family.

Not sure if this is considered discriminatory for Florida or in the country in general.

We have some savings and it seems our goal might be reasonable in another part of the country but we're in the discovery process in learning if this is remotely realistic in a nearby area.

After carefully considering my goals andd reams for the next few ears, and investigating a lot f potential opportunites, I decided to sopend my resources and time on Real Estate investing, and turn up the heat, to enable myself and my wife to move to warmer cclimates of the country inwithin 2 years.

Free country the owner agent can say what they want - freedom of speech and all that.
