I made a trip to KC a few weeks ago to look at some multifamily properties.

It's worth a trip over to check and see for yourself. 

Like I said, I would not mind taking a trip and considering meeting you half way with funds --- but you have to do the legwork.  

This is the one area where all investors get tripped up.

I like this because it has high reviews on trip advisor, we can use occasionally, and it is a nice property.  

So, real estate was the only (logical) option.I've been in school for 5 years on and off and just finishing up (hopefully) in the spring with my BA in Bus Mgmt.

If you plan to visit the property twice a year that's two round trip plane tickets, two car rentals, two hotel stays, etc. you could easily burn through that $2,500 *extra* profit.  

I believe if I owned the property outright, I could deduct 1-2 visits per year to the property to "check up on it". (1) Would I still be able to deduct these trip expenses as a partial owner?

The only good thing its on 2 major bus routes, but IDK if thats even a redeeming quality.First question is what have you done to the property to make it "stand out".

I'm going to try and get some more information from the current tenants and will be making a trip up there this weekend.
