In my opinion 13K+ in repairs is a minor bump in the road for a $300k asset that’s pulling in over 15k/year.

Right now we are totally in info gathering mode and are planning to hit the road running as soon as 2015 rolls on us.  

This really opened up a whole new view and will SAVE me down the road.

What I have done in the past year or so is get my DBA up and running, I ran a small pumpkin road side stand off my yard in October and absolutely fell in love with the passive income stream.

Unfortunately I don't think Bowling Green has a local REIA (or at least their website is defunct) - thought that might be something I could get started a little further down the road. 

Or if you can learn the aspects of quality home/building construction, it could exponentially increase your earnings potential down the road (whether you rehab/ build your own rentals or custom build for others).Developing your potential in these pursuits could be rewarded in the near future.Short term, you could pick up side gigs or overtime (also mentioned), but I would really think big picture. 

When I graduated, I was dating a guy who was finishing up school at NC State, so I moved the 30 minutes down the road to Raleigh.
