The thing that gets my attention is the second property is worth about 40k more with only an initial investment of 20k, but I don't want to get to ahead of myself because We are building this as an investment/income property.

While I don't know the company or the owner but I do know my opinion, I think this company and it's plan to purchase discounted jumbo loans with equity to turn them into bridge loans and force a borrower to refinance in the short term is a horrible operational idea as it is almost impossible to gain any economy of scale.

The couple sells the property at the end of year 6, netting a total gain of $800,000.
