My 4 personal STR's are all in San Antonio did over $575k in 2024 and on track for $650k in 2025.I think you are generally looking in the right areas, but there are a few things to keep in mind:1) Stay inside of 1604. 

I want guests to do their laundry throughout the stay and keep up with the dishes and trash :-).I also fill my K-cup dispensers between guests.

A self-directed IRA could be a good way to defer taxes, but there are some rules to keep in mind—like keeping all the income in the IRA until retirement.

Nights, weekends, holidays, etc.To keep this on-topic, though...DO figure out what's healthy for you to manage but remember it's a process where every experience teaches you good and bad (and be patient with that process).DON'T sweat the small stuff (damage/costs under $50, undisclosed dogs, etc.) but DO find a way to learn, prevent, put in better practices to maintain your sanity.
