A great high functioning portfolio along with a decent W2 goes a very long way to achieving your goals. 

Would I achieve this if I transfer the property to an llc after buying it?

Prior to investing in anything for myself, I also set a clear expectation of a result that I require- mine was to acquire a BRRRR property, which I was able to achieve.

The good thing about househacking a legal multifamily unit is that lender allows you to use the vacated units of 75% market rent as an income to offset the potential current mortgage.

Some will be over-achieved and some will be under-achieved.I don't put much credence in the published returns.

Since then, I’ve been listening to BiggerPockets, On The Market, and Real Estate Rookie, and I’m currently reading The Multifamily Millionaire by Brandon Turner.A bit about myself:I'm a 31-year-old software engineer looking to become a long-term multifamily real estate investor (REI) and achieve FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early).

I have a couple of small multi under my belt (up and down suite and a 3 unit) I am considering to purchase a 5 to 6 unit next year but dont know how to begin.
