They may be family/friends but it is still business and having your t's crossed and i's dotted will save you trouble down the road. 

As you gain momentum, you'll realize that each of these tasks are full-time commitments and that they'll quickly become more than any one person can handle. 

Too many unknowns in development to add commitments during construction.

I got set up on a call with someone on his team and the person was so knowledgeable and walked me through in great details what the program entails, appreciate such much the fact that I didn't feel any pressure to commit to anything.
