There were people telling me they had to go back to work in their 80's because they lost it all (Enron, etc.)Some investors have owned properties over time that bought in the 80,90's, 2000's have been okay as they can average out properties and ride out the market.

My husband argues that you can always make an offer without a buyer broker and try to shave 3% off the price, but I think sellers' realtors really dislike being a transaction broker and in a competitive situation you don't see a price reduction.
