Hello - I own a duplex in Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada - the largest issue I have has been property management - I live in BC, and there are not many property management companies in Muskoka that handle long term rentals - many do air bnb properties, but most property owners who rent long term do the management on their own.

I would say the MOST important things are 1) communication with your guests and getting good reviews, along with 2) having a vetted team (handyman, cleaners, etc.). and 3) document EVERYTHING regarding issues and Air BnB will take care of you (without documentation you're out of luck).
