@Or Y. well, on the one hand you are correct - higher dp means more secure cash for the bank, but it also means they make less in interest so you can see why their ideal situation is a moderate downpayment with a high loan balance and long term from someone they know can afford to repay the loan plus allllll that interest.

Even though prices have hiked a lot in DFW, there are still some pockets which are moderately priced, Mansfield, Keller, Saginaw, Watauga and North richland hills are some of them.

If you find a property you like you can use Airdna , Everbooked or even another app I will not mention due to moderation rules to get a better idea on how well it will perform. :-)As for the specific areas like I said before, Lake Tahoe or pretty much anything south of Squaw Valley is going to perform better but cost more to purchase.
