The real issue with that kind of property is that everything is scalable -- if you have efficiencies they can be carried to other units, or, if one unit gets infected with bugs likely many more will become infested, too.

If the place was truly inhabitable during the infestation, the tenant always has the right to vacate until it is resolved, this is when renter's insurance could have possibly helped.

Month to month termination

But she has always been so nasty to me every time something goes wrong in her property that's of her responsibility. yes i kind of snap and told her i would be pursuing legal actions and further investigation of her property to ensure its inhabitable bc there is also a mice infestation I've had every year (which i also notified her about and she told me i was the one attracting them and it was apart of life, when i asked other neighbors they said they were going through the same thing too) she told me to no longer contact her via message or phone because it was considered harassment and that she was terminating my month to month lease and gave me 30 days, my rent is in good standing, but my A/C is still broken.

Pest Control in Rental

In my experience, when there are pests that invade after the tenant has been there for some time (in your case, 6 months) and there had not been a previous infestation, that there is probably some food source readily available..like scraps on the floor or food stored on the floor or shelves which is not protected.

My day job is immediatelly beside the projects so I have a good understanding of what has happened in them. 3 years ago they were infested with drugs and prostitutes however about a year and a half ago the local and stte police really started cleaning the place up and I have not noticed any fancy cars with out of state plates or girls coming and going or people regularly going in and out of peoples apartments.

Someone asked about this interesting phenomenon. he had a roach infestation in his rental building, and he did call an exterminator to treat it.one tenant though is claiming that a toaster and microwave got infested and broke (I personally don't see how roaches can break them.... seems like they are just taking advantage of a situation?!)

Year ago, I got a house back and it was so infested with roaches, it took weeks of treatment, delayed showings, and resulted in a fried control board on the stove.
