Also, when it does rain hard there is some water that leaks into the basement, but in both units there is a properly working floor drain and nothing is down there to get damaged.

Our daughter was able to line up friends as tenants for the fall, but we were still left with a 3 month gap between completion of the renovations and the start of the new school rental year, so to plug the gap and prevent a large cash drain we turned to Airbnb, made possible because we chose to furnish the house.

I have a 2006 tank which is spotless inside because I keep up with draining it every few years and rod maintenance.https://www.amazon.com/Camco-11582-Aluminum-Anode-...Bottom line is, you can even buy a used tank or lowest warranty tank, put a thick rod it in and run that thing for over a decade.

No soffets, no gutters, missing interior trim on all windows and most of baseboards, a wall completely in the way when you entered, washer/dryer relocate, no drain venting so rotten eggs overpowered you every time you ran water, etc.
