I would definitely consider house hacking again but since we just bought out dream little piece of land to park our movable tiny house its definitely not my first thought. 

Study the neighborhood in terms of market dynamics to know if a lot can meet market demands or if it is worth investing in before deciding on its purchase Consult some experts who have found ways of developing vacant areas so that you may decide intelligently on what you want to do with your own piece of land.Good luck!

Thrift stores are great for interesting framed pieces or even just nice frames and then order your own prints for them off Etsy.

I want to be able to follow and shadow him and Soak in all the rehab knowledge and I want him to feel like it isnt all 1 sided by giving him a piece of the reward especially with so many benefits to the work being done if he is involved deeper in it.

Considering they are brand new, with a finish out well above and beyond the rest of the neighborhood I don't anticipate "nobody else wanting them" Thanks for your sarcasm, though That wasn't a personal accusation but I see people on here all the time that say "I found this piece of crap house in the hood for $10k, I can buy it and rent it to a Section 8 tenant and make a ton of money right?"
