Wholesale/ getting started in real estate

Edward Ajello
Posted

My name is Edward Ajello, I’m 17 years old looking to get into real estate (wholesale) and I need somewhere to start. I want to start out doing assignment contracts because of my financial status and would be easier to work with. I’m a very social person where I can have connections with anyone and who will respect me as a person. This was always said to me and I consider a gift because not most people have great social skill especially at 17. Working 2 jobs and going to college has way too much time being taken up for just an okay paycheck and I don’t want to live that way. I’m trying to break out of the matrix and get my life going the right way and be wealthy. Not just being wealthy in terms of finance, but with time and lea-sure. This is something most people don’t have because of a 9 to 5 job keeping them from what they want to do. When I found out about real estate, it changed my whole perspective and how I think as a person. The only problem is I don’t know where to start but willing to dive right in with the right people. Anyone that can reach out or help with valuable advice and experience would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Edward,

"The only problem is I don’t know where to start but willing to dive right in with the right people"

This is not a problem; it's actually great that you are going through this at a young age. My entrepreneurial thoughts started around that age too, and not knowing where to start is the least of your problems. Think about it... You posted this thread, so you have already started.

Just like @Jonathan Greene mentioned, don't chase the quickest and easiest method to wealth. Anything worth doing will take time!

Wholesaling is portrayed as an easy entry into real estate, but that's not true, so don't fall for that. I wouldn't mind jumping on a call and giving you an overview of what it's like to run a wholesaling operation. I got started in real estate by flipping properties, so I can give you my 2 cents on that too.

Best of luck!
